A compact B-25 warbird with gyro help and two flight batteries

The North American B-25 Mitchell was a twin-engine medium bomber used across multiple theaters during World War II. It became widely known after B-25Bs launched from USS Hornet during the Doolittle Raid in April 1942. Its glazed nose, twin engines and twin-tail outline are still easy to recognize. This VOLANTEXRC model brings that scale-inspired shape into a compact 400 mm RC airplane.

For the RC pilot, the model combines a pre-assembled EPP airframe with two 7 mm coreless motors, 3-channel 2.4GHz control and XPilot 6-axis gyro assistance. You still direct the airplane; the gyro is there to help steady it. Two included 3.7V 400mAh flight batteries let you charge a spare pack for the next flight.

  • EPP airframe with two 7 mm coreless motors
  • XPilot 6-axis gyro assistance
  • Two 3.7V 400mAh flight batteries and USB charging cable

Flight system

Gyro support for a focused three-channel setup

XPilot works with the three-channel controls to help stabilize the airframe; it does not turn the B-25 into a self-flying model. Elevator input gives you direct control over climb and descent, while two 7 mm coreless motors drive the paired propellers. The twin-engine layout is part of the working power system, not just the scale outline.

Propeller maintenance

Maintenance details you can see before you buy

EPP forms the main airframe, with internal carbon-fiber rods inside and access points for replaceable electronics. The package also includes a quick-release propeller tool and a spare two-blade propeller for routine propeller inspection or replacement between flying sessions.

Aircraft details

Scale detail from the glazed nose to the twin tail

Nose art, U.S. star-and-bar markings, panel lines and tail numbers add detail across the airframe. The glazed-nose shape, twin nacelles and paired fins carry the recognizable B-25 profile through the model. These details give scale-aircraft fans something to appreciate on the ground as well as in flight.

Who this model is for

This B-25 is a good fit for scale-aircraft fans and lower-time pilots who want a small, pre-assembled outdoor warbird with stabilization assistance. The three-channel layout keeps the control set focused, while elevator input still gives you direct pitch control. It is assisted rather than automatic, so the pilot remains responsible for learning the controls and directing the airplane.

Before the first flight

Add four AA batteries to the transmitter and charge both flight batteries with the supplied USB charging setup. Before takeoff, inspect the propellers, follow the instructions for power-up and control-direction checks, and choose an open outdoor flying area clear of people and obstacles.
